Bold, colorful storytelling, breathed into life through rich contrast & flowing motion.
I am an artist drawn to the power of place—those vast, open spaces where color, memory, and spirit intertwine. Acrylic inks let me explore the cultures that raised me: my wheat-farming family, my mother’s Hispanic heritage, the land that formed me, and the sacred spaces that wrap them in wonder. Each piece aims to be a small act of storytelling.

I grew up in Oklahoma, where golden fields, red earth, wide horizons, blue skies, and rolling thunderstorms became my first teachers. They revealed how movement, shadow, and light can transform in an instant. Watching the seasonal ebb and flow of planting and harvest on my father’s Kansas farm taught me patience, cyclical change, and how to measure time by care.

From my mother’s side, bold color, intricate details, and symbolism took root: sun-baked New Mexican adobe, bright paper flowers in my abuelita’s home, the vibrant flavors of green chilies, my abuelito’s wrought-iron scrollwork, my abuelita’s lacey crochet, and her bubbling laugh.

In the studio, I’m in partnership with acrylic inks. I might begin with a clear vision, but the inks soon take on a life of their own, challenging me to stay open. Each painting becomes a conversation between control and surrender.

On this site, I’ll keep exploring how color, movement, and chance can open space for reflection, wonder, and connection. Here you’ll find new work, blog posts, and behind-the-scenes glimpses as my voice evolves.
